Ashley Kelly-Brown

Ashley (Ashe) Kelly-Brown is an herbalist, reiki practitioner, red tent facilitator, yoga teacher, practitioner of Shamanism and Peri-steam Hydrotherapist. 

Her journey to holistic healing and alternative medicine came about from a desire to heal herself 10 years ago. Suffering from depression over her "unexplained infertility" diagnosis and losing herself in the process of trying to conceive she sought out healing and education in the jungles of Costa Rica. In the small jungle beach town of Puerto Viejo, she was introduced to the healing plants of the rainforest and their physical and spiritual medicine. The plants healed her and transformed her depression. She got excited to travel to Central America to learn more. After 3 years of trips to the jungle, she decided to learn more about plant medicine local to North America which led her to the Gaia School of Healing and Earth Education where she received her herbalist certification in June of 2017.

In addition to healing and learning from the plants, Ashe took several courses in other healing modalities to aid in her quest to help women heal themselves. It is her dream to be known as a modern curandera or medicine woman - a healer that uses earth based and spiritual remedies. Her apothecary shop and services are part of her souls’ purpose and dream to create healing and sacred space for women. With the birth of her daughter in 2017, it is her dream to bring her into a world that embraces holistic practices and encourages more community. It also her dream to help heal the women to ultimately heal the world.

Born in Oakland, CA, she now lives in Santa Barbara CA, with her wife of 12 years, Christen and their 2-year-old daughter, Quest. An entrepreneur, she owns two businesses - a hair/makeup salon and an herbal apothecary - and loves creating sacred spaces for gatherings of like-minded souls to come together to heal.
