Traveling with Olivia
- Are non-binary and trans guests welcome on Olivia Trips?
Yes, non-binary and transfeminine and transmasculine guests are and have always been welcome on Olivia trips. While most of our guests identify as lesbians and queer women, our community is vast and rich, and we’re happy to have you. We’re here to celebrate our community and provide a safe space where guests can feel free to be themselves.
- What is it like to travel solo with Olivia?
It’s fantastic! What better or safer way to travel solo? Our dedicated Solos Coordinator plans fun activities like dances, mixers, and excursions just for our independent travelers. On larger trips, we make it even easier to connect by offering special tables at meals and a reserved seating area at performances for Solos. On most trips you even get Solo dog tags!
If you’d like to share a room, Olivia can pair you with a roommate based on preferences, such as smoking habits. Be sure to check out our detailed room share agreement on the website if you’re considering this option.
- What are the accommodations like?
Accommodations vary based on the vacation you choose, and many of our trips offer a range of options to suit different preferences and budgets. Shop room and cabin inventory online, or if you need a helping hand, our friendly, knowledgeable Olivia Travel Consultants are here to guide you through the choices and help you find the perfect accommodations that fit your needs.
- What about seasickness on cruises?
Most of our guests never experience motion sickness thanks to the advanced stabilizers on the ships we charter. But if you're prone to seasickness or still a bit worried, we recommend trying an over-the-counter remedy like Bonine, or having a chat with your physician for extra peace of mind. We're here to make sure you have a smooth and enjoyable journey!

- Can I smoke on an Olivia vacation?
Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms, cabins, or indoor spaces, but we always designate outdoor smoking areas to ensure a comfortable experience for both smokers and non-smokers. Whenever possible, we’ll share the location of these areas in advance under the FAQs tab on the trip page of our website. Otherwise, you’ll find all the details upon arrival at your resort, hotel, or onboard your ship.
- Are 12-step meetings offered?
Yes! On trips with 100 or more guests, we usually reserve time and space for daily Turning It Over meetings for members of all 12-step programs. If you'd like to confirm whether your trip will have these meetings, feel free to reach out to one of our caring Olivia Travel Consultants—they’ll be happy to help!
Before You Book
- Is there an advantage to booking early?
Booking early provides you with a greater choice of accommodations and allows you to take advantage of our special Early-Booking prices. Our most expensive and least expensive rooms tend to sell out first, so make sure you're signed up for our email or SMS trip announcements!
- What happens when I book at the last minute?
Bookings made less than 30 days prior to departure date may be subject to a surcharge for rush processing. Contact an Olivia Travel Consultant for more information.
- What if I have specific needs?
At Olivia, we do our best to accommodate guests with specific needs—whether medical, mobility, dietary, or otherwise. Here are a few important things to keep in mind:
- When booking your trip, please let us know if you have any physical or mental conditions that require treatment.
- Olivia reserves the right to refuse or revoke participation if, in our judgment, a guest’s condition makes them unfit for travel or requires care beyond what we can provide.
- Participation in certain activities may be limited based on past or present conditions.
- Guests with disabilities must be self-sufficient and should travel with someone who can provide any needed assistance during the trip or in case of an emergency.
- If you use a wheelchair, please bring a small, collapsible one. Some areas may not be fully accessible.
- Wheelchair-accessible rooms aren’t available for online booking, but our Travel Consultants are happy to help!
If you haven’t yet informed your Olivia Travel Consultant about your specific needs, please reach out as soon as possible—at least 90 days before your trip. We’re here to make sure you have the best experience possible!

- How do I find information about a specific trip?
From our homepage, you can easily browse to Explore Trips in the main navigation menu, then narrow your search by trip type, start date, and/or destination. Each trip has its own dedicated page, where you'll find everything you need to plan your adventure! You'll find a summary, itinerary details, entertainment, ship or resort accommodations, pricing, and info on pre- and post-trip Vacation Stretchers (when available).
- How do I book a trip?
To book your Olivia trip online, simply click the "Book Now" buttons on the trip page you’re interested in. It’s quick and easy!

Please note, unless specified otherwise, a nonrefundable deposit of 25% of the trip cost is required when booking. Pre- and post-trip Vacation Stretchers must be paid in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable. We're here to help make the booking process as smooth as possible!
- What are my payment options?
You can make payments using a debit card, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, or by check or money order—whichever works best for you!
- What do the prices include?
Rates are per person, in US dollars, and based on double adult occupancy for all trips. Your rate includes your cabin or room, all meals*, entertainment, any included excursions (where applicable), and the support of our wonderful Olivia staff. Airfare and non-discountable amounts (NDAs), which cover port taxes and gratuities, are not included.
NDAs aren’t eligible for promotional discounts and may change without notice. Optional shore excursions are also not included, so be sure to check the trip description for details on any included excursions.
*Unless otherwise noted, all meals are included on cruises, at resorts, and for most of our other vacations.
- Are special rates available for groups?
Group discounts are available. Please see the Groups page under Personalized Programs to learn more about how to officially open a Group for a trip. If you have additional questions or plans to start a group, please contact an Olivia Travel Consultant.
- What about airfare to get to the resort or embarkation point?
Transportation to the resort or embarkation point is not included and must be planned separately. However, we’ve partnered with airlines to offer discounts of up to 15% on airfare to our destinations! For the latest deals, check out our airfare discount page or reach out to one of our friendly Olivia Travel Consultants—they’ll be happy to share the most current discounts and recommendations with you. - Should I purchase travel insurance?
Yes! We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against any unexpected emergencies. Travel insurance can cover your belongings, medical emergencies, or even trip cancellations (depending on the policy). It’s an important way to safeguard your vacation investment.
Consider coverage for trip cancellation, delays, interruptions, baggage issues, emergency medical services, and emergency evacuations. These are often not fully covered by your credit card, homeowner’s policy, or medical insurance. If you didn’t purchase insurance when you booked, it’s not too late! For the best protection, we encourage you to buy it within 15 days of your initial trip payment.

After You've Booked
- When will I receive my travel information guide?
As soon as you book, we’ll send you a confirmation by email. Then, about 3 to 4 weeks before your trip, you’ll receive your travel guide, which will include packing tips, activity info, and all the important details to help you get ready for your adventure!
- Will I need a passport or visa to travel?
Yes! Whether you're a US citizen or not, you'll need a passport that's valid for at least six months beyond the end of your trip.* Some countries may also require a visa or additional documentation. We’ll provide details for US citizens in the trip’s Traveler Information section about 9 to 11 months before the trip. If you're not a US citizen, please check with your country's consulate and the consulates of the destinations we’ll be visiting to see what documentation you'll need beyond your passport.
*Note: This excludes US citizens traveling within the US on our land-based vacations.
- Will I need vaccinations or inoculations?
We recommend checking with your local public health department or personal physician about any immunization requirements for the countries on your itinerary. You can also visit the CDC’s website at www.cdc.gov, click on “Traveler’s Health,” then “Vaccinations” for up-to-date information. Stay healthy and travel safe!
- How can I connect with other travelers before my trip?
After you sign up for a trip, we’ll send you a confirmation email that includes a link to your trip’s private Facebook group. Just click the link in the email, and it will take you to the group page. From there, click “Join Group” to request access, and one of our friendly admins will approve your request as soon as possible. It's a great way to connect with fellow travelers before your adventure!
Changing or Canceling a Reservation
- What if I need to change a name on the reservation?
You can change the name(s) on your reservation up to 30 days before departure, with a $75 fee for each name change. Just email [email protected] for assistance. If you need to transfer the financial responsibility for the reservation to someone else, both the original and new financially responsible guests will need to complete an Assignment of Financial Rights form.
- What if I need to cancel?
For details on cancellation fees, please refer to our Terms and Conditions. Please remember, Olivia vacations cannot be re-sold or transferred, and all Vacation Stretchers are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
Cruise lines do have specific policies, including prohibiting travelers beyond 24 weeks of pregnancy. If you’re sharing a stateroom with a companion, and they cancel, you can choose to pay the full double occupancy fare or let Olivia arrange a new roommate for you.

- Help with My Online Account
Can my girlfriend/wife/partner and I share a single account on Olivia.com?
Unfortunately, no. Two people can’t share a single online account. We prefer to have a unique email address for everyone in your party. However, if you're traveling as a couple and would like to receive just one email for your trips, we can send all the info to the primary account holder’s email. That person will then be responsible for sharing the details with their partner.
I’m having trouble registering or logging in. It says my email is already in use or I forgot my password.
It’s possible you started registering with Olivia.com during a previous visit but didn’t complete the activation. You can easily reset your password by visiting https://olivia.rezmagic.com/Booking/Account/RequestResetPassword. Just enter your email, first name, and last name, and click “Submit.” You’ll receive an email with a link and verification code to complete the process.
When I logged into my Olivia account, I didn’t see any information about my upcoming vacations. What should I do?

Terms and Conditions
- What are the terms of my trip?
Terms and conditions are a required part of the contract between guests and Olivia. Failure to sign terms and conditions may result in cancellation of your trip. Olivia has the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.
Travel documents will be emailed 3 to 4 weeks prior to departure. Please note that a trip’s itinerary, entertainers, and special guests are subject to change. View the complete Terms and Conditions. - Are there limits on Olivia's responsibility?
IMPORTANT LIMIT ON OLIVIA RESPONSIBILITY. This limit applies to all Olivia vacations. The cruise lines, resorts, hotels, lodges, carriers, excursion providers, and other suppliers providing tour services to The Olivia Companies, LLC (“Olivia") are independent contractors and are not principals, agents, employees, partners, or joint ventures of Olivia or its affiliates. The tour participant (guest or traveler) agrees that neither Olivia nor its affiliates shall be liable for any damage, loss (including personal injury, death, and property loss), or expense occasioned by any act. The tour participant (guest or traveler) acknowledges and agrees that Olivia shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense whatsoever for any failure of performances, improper act, or any omission to act.
Account Access
- Can I share an Olivia account with my travel partner?
To protect your privacy, each guest must have a separate account, and we require a unique email address for each person in your reservation party. If you are traveling as a couple, but only one of you has an email address, we will send the reservation information and other trip communications to the primary account holder’s email address—and that person will assume the responsibility to share the information with the other party.
- I am having problems registering or logging on
It is possible that you started registering with Olivia.com on a previous visit, but your account was never activated. Please request a new password at https://olivia.rezmagic.com/Booking/Account/RequestResetPassword. Enter your email address, first and last name, then click “Submit.” You will receive an email with a link and a verification code. Please enter your verification code and click “Submit.”
